Our Story
A journey from a small alpine workshop to one of Switzerland's most respected furniture studios.
Founded on Craftsmanship
Alpen Möbel began in 2008 when master carpenter Heinrich Vogel opened a modest workshop in the foothills near Lucerne. His vision was straightforward: create furniture that people would pass down through generations, pieces built with such care that they became family heirlooms.
What started as a one-person operation has grown into a collaborative studio of twelve skilled artisans, each bringing their own expertise to our collective work.
What Guides Us
Precision
Every joint, every surface, every finish receives meticulous attention. We measure twice, cut once, and inspect continuously throughout the creation process.
Sustainability
Our timber comes exclusively from responsibly managed European forests. We minimize waste through careful planning and repurpose offcuts in smaller projects.
Collaboration
We see each commission as a partnership. Your input shapes the design from initial concept through final delivery, ensuring the finished piece truly reflects your vision.
Our Process
Every project begins with a conversation. We visit your space, understand your daily routines, and discuss materials, proportions, and functionality. From there, we develop detailed sketches and 3D renderings before any wood is selected.
Once designs are approved, our workshop transforms raw materials into finished pieces over several weeks. Installation is handled by our own team, ensuring continuity from first meeting to final placement.
The Artisans
Our team combines decades of experience with fresh perspectives, creating furniture that honors tradition while embracing contemporary needs.
From master joiners who trained in the traditional guild system to designers fluent in modern software, our workshop bridges generations of furniture-making knowledge. We believe this blend produces work that feels both timeless and relevant.
